Cleansing Detoxification – Heavy Metals in Your Body

What is cleansing detoxification?  Why might you need it? Not to be an alarmist, but during the normal course of the day, while you’re drinking your tap water, eating, or even breathing the air around you, your body is ingesting toxic heavy metals which have the potential to overwhelm the natural functions of your body. It’s not something that happens in a day, but, rather, cumulatively over time and it can begin to wreak havoc on many of your body’s basic functions.

Heavy metal toxicity can impede brain function affecting your mental dexterity. The central nervous system can be overwhelmed and react with body pain, headaches, seizures and depression.

Heavy metals are present in many of the elements we come in contact with each day. Some of the more common metals are mercury, lead, aluminum, arsenic, and cadmium. Mercury is the greatest threat as it comes in many different forms such as methyl mercury, metallic, and salt with methyl containing the most potent toxins.

The body uses certain natural metals in its life functions. Metals such as selenium are vital to enzyme production in the fight against cancer and other diseases. Metals, when occurring naturally in the body, provide healing properties, however, when introduced into the body in large quantities, they can also present a danger.

Each body is somewhat unique in how it can process heavy metal toxicity. While some people can become seriously ill with an over exposure, others may have a higher tolerance. In either case, it is considered sound advice to conduct a heavy metal detox to cleanse the body and help it maintain its normal levels of heavy metals.

One method of heavy metal detoxification is to use chelating agents that bond with the metals to deactivate them. Then, as they move through the blood stream, they are processed through the kidneys and liver and passed out of the body as waste.

Chelating agents are nutritionally present in many food and natural supplements. Some of the more effective agents are found packaged as supplements.

Cilantro. This common herb is effective in the removal of heavy metals and the restoration of cells in the body.

Chlorella. Produced by green algae, this chelating agent, which can be found in drink or supplement, is a popular detoxification aid.

Milk Thistle. Also known as silymarin, milk thistles aides the liver and helps in the protection of red blood cells.

Magnesium. Another naturally occurring metal that the body uses to generate immune boosting enzymes. It can be found in supplement forms or in some common foods like spinach and Brazil nuts.

Mega H. Studies have shown that Mega H is effective at using water for nutrient replenishment and waste removal at the cellular level which is a vital detox process.

There are some known side effects to heavy metal detox. Some people have allergic reactions to the agents that are introduced during detox. This mostly stems from the release of heavy metals from all of the nooks and crannies in which they were hiding. So, at least for a period of time, the body reacts to the agents as if they were toxins. Once the immune system realizes who the bad guys really are, it takes the fight to the toxins.

By slowly introducing the body to the chelating agents, through a homeopathic dilution administered every few days, the immune system can make its adjustment more quickly.

Heavy Metals Testing: Consulting with your doctor or doing a convenient home lab test yourself will help you to determine whether you have heavy metal toxicity.  The test is painless and can be done on urine, saliva, nails or hair.To order your test kit: Test Country

Get the Heavy Metals out with Chelation

Get the Heavy Metals out with Chelation

Chelation therapy has been gaining more attention as a method for removing heavy metals that have amassed over time in the body. Only recently has the evidence mounted that inidcate that heavy metals do, in fact, build up inside the body to dangerous levels of exposure. The science has shown that high levels of exposure can lead to ailments and degeneration of the body’s functions.

How Dangerous are Heavy Metals?
In biological terms, metals have always been vital to sustaining life. It is the excess accumulation of otherwise harmless metals that can be toxic, and even a small buildup of harmful metals can be dangerous.

Unlike other toxins that enter our body, metals tend to build up faster because the body cannot easily process them for removal. They actually reside inside the body as solid elements and, as they amass over time, their toxicity can overwhelm the body’s systems.

Masses of metal toxins can be found in all of the organs as well as the skeleton and hair. Many ailments can be traced back to heavy metal toxicity. Cancer and kidney ailments can result from overexposure and death due to prolonged exposure is not uncommon.

Where do Heavy Metals come from?
The environment is awash in metals with which we come in contact. Many are harmless, but there are some particular toxic metals such as mercury and lead.

Some of the foods we eat, such as certain species of fish and food plants like mushrooms, are exposed to mercury and, so we ingest it as part of the food chain. We’re exposed to mercury in our everyday live. dental materials, glass thermometers, and fluorescent bulbs are just a few of the things with which we come in contact.

Lead is all around us in our household. High amounts can be found in glassware, hair products, and even in some of the supplements we take. Of course, gasoline fumes are a known source of lead that gets dispersed into the air.

Another metal, cadmium, is ingested through second hand cigarette smoke as well as water and food.

Getting the Lead Out – How to Rid the Body of Metals
Chelation therapy is considered to be a very effective method of cleansing detoxification that can help the body eliminate metal toxins. The therapy involves the use of chelation materials, often found in capsule form, to collect the toxins and assist the body’s filtration system in removing them.

Sometimes a more assertive method is required that needs to be administered by a health care professional of naturopathic nurse.

If you are concerned about the possibility of metal poisoning or you want to take steps to prevent overexposure from the heavy metals amassing in you body, it would be important to make the call to a specialist and learn more about chelation therapy and heavy metal testing to determine if your levels are high.

TVA Coal Ash Disaster – Free Heavy Metal Testing for Residents

The TVA Coal Ash Disaster (12/08) is just one example of the countless ways we are exposed to heavy metals through our environment. The toxins from heavy metals are found in our streams and drinking water, in our air, and in the foods we eat. They find their way into the environment as waste products from manufacturing, pollution, as well as natural exposures. If your health has not been up to par and you and your doctors have exhausted all avenues, then perhaps you should consider getting tested for heavy metals toxicity. This is an underlying cause in many diseases and unfounded illnesses, and becoming more prevalent as a health issue.

As time passes it is more likely that the toxic levels in many people are just getting higher and higher. The poisonous heavy metals gradually make their way into and accumulate throughout our organs, tissues and bloodstream. As you can sense from this video, there is an urgency to find out, to get the testing for heavy metals done as soon as possible. Heavy Metals such as arsenic, lead, aluminum, mercury and cadmium have no place in the human body. If you do learn through testing that your levels are too high, there are several ways to help the body detox and excrete them. Chelation Therapy is one way, as well as many natural body detox programs such as juicing, special diets, certain herbs such as Cilantro or a variety of oral supplements such as Chlorella.

The first step to improving your overall health and immune system support is to get tested. You can contact your health care provider to make an appointment or you can simply do heavy metal testing in the privacy of your own home. Your local pharmacy may have an over-the-counter test kit as well. The procedure will be exactly the same as if you had gone to the local lab. All home test kits come with complete instructions and you will send it to an approved local lab and the confidential results will be returned to you. Then you can follow up with your doctor if necessary and work on a plan for cleansing detoxification.
